Repeat prescriptions can be requested in the following ways: paper slip brought to Reception Desk, via website or by email, via Patient Access system or by faxing the surgery on 01252 890084. Please note that to avoid any errors, requests for repeat prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone.
Our Electonic Prescribing Service means that your doctor will send your prescription electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. Local pharmacies are listed but this service is available for any pharmacy which can take electronic prescriptions - ask your pharmacist for more details or ask for more information at Reception.
The practice undertakes to process your prescription request with 72 hours or three working days. Once the prescription has been transmitted to the pharmacy of your choice, please ideally allow a further two days before collection, as sometimes the Pharmacy needs to order in the drugs you require.
We kindly request all patients monitor carefully their stock of medication, requesting additional supplies in plenty of time, particularly before going away or on holiday as requesting prescriptions "urgently" takes doctors away from seeing unwell patients. The most common reason for requesting an urgent prescription is "I thought I had another packet"!
